The Fine Arts degree includes courses in design, drawing, painting, photography, art history and electronic arts. Introductory courses provide a challenging, intensive, hands-on learning experience.

You will have extensive access to Hudson Valley's studios, galleries and art facilities to encourage your exposure to art and hone your technical skills. Additional coursework builds upon and refines skills while further exploring the conceptual issues key to the fine arts.

This is primarily a transfer program as most graduates continue their education to complete a bachelor's degree and beyond. The program guides you to master skills, to grasp the ideas behind those skills and to move on to a four-year program with the confidence that you are well-prepared. Following the completion of higher-level degrees, graduates have pursued careers as working artists; others have moved into related fields like gallery management or community arts education.

This program is offered through the Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media Department.
